Keep one useful idea close

Useful advice should leave you with something you can notice. These reads focus on the moment before an ability, a corner or a return from spawn.

Guide 1 / Ability decisions

Ana: leave time to answer the flank

Notice the threat before choosing the heal or utility. Staying alive keeps both options open.

Leave yourself a response

Ana cannot answer every threat at once. Notice the enemy who can reach you soonest and keep cover close enough that missing Sleep Dart does not require a long run through the open.

Use the quiet moment

A sleeping enemy can give you time to move or help a teammate. Let the team know where the target is, but do not force a follow-up through a dangerous sightline just because the dart landed.

Notice one useful example

In the next match, remember a moment where waiting made the cooldown more useful. You do not need a highlight to learn from the position it allowed you to keep.

Guide 2 / Ability decisions

Kiriko: a save you can recognise in time

Notice the threat before choosing the heal or utility. Staying alive keeps both options open.

Look for what is about to happen

Protection Suzu asks for awareness of the next danger as well as the current health bars. Keep a clear view so you can recognise the effect or burst that makes a short protective window useful.

Include yourself in the plan

An ally may be reachable without being in a safe place. Before moving to them, notice the cover and teammates available afterwards. Staying alive keeps the next save possible.

Notice one useful example

Choose a single threat to track for a few fights. After a save, look at whether the ally could take a helpful action or find a safer position during the window.

Guide 3 / Map awareness

Escort: keep the next corner within reach

Check that the team has a view of the space you are taking. Pause at cover when it does not.

Keep a corner within reach

On an escort route, cover helps you decide how much of the enemy view to expose yourself to. Find a corner beside the route rather than waiting until pressure forces you to improvise in the open.

Watch who can still help

A payload can keep moving while the team loses its ability to support the player beside it. Read who is alive, where they stand and whether they can see the same objective.

Notice one useful example

Pick a piece of cover for the next exchange. When you return to it, check which teammates remain in view and whether the team can try the next move together.
